Trying to Remove a Storage Pool but get failed to apply settings. I have as DS918+ which I migrated to from a DS214se. This was a mistake as the 918+ will now only support 16TB of disc. I need to remove the storage pool and recreate it so that I can incorperate larger discs . When I go into Storage Pool and select Remove I get "failed to apply ...To update DSM manually: Visit Synology Download Center to download new DSM update to your local computer. The .pat file does not need to be extracted. Click Manual DSM Update to enter Manual DSM Update Page. Click Browse to select the update file. Click OK to start to update your DSM. Things to check: You need port forwarding set up for the following ports on your Router: 80, 443 & 5001 all pointing to the IP Addrerss of your NAS.From the beginning the Synology Assistant could find the NAS but with the Status "Connection failed". I tried to set the network settings to a fixed IP recommended by the assistant, I have then tried all of the above by turning of and on and unplugging and plugging back in the power and RJ45-cable, and now the assistant can't find the NAS at all!Mar 15, 2021 · Set up port forwarding rules on SRM.
