Just three houses out of the 30 don't have fiber. I can just get 50mbs and my neighbors, two houses down, have gigabit. A few weeks ago I noticed some trucks in the area which I know to be consistent with contractors running new utility lines. Last Friday they finally made it to my street and marked up my front yard with flags and spray paint and I now know its ATT installing Fiber Optic.

If you want a timeline, ask yourself when are you willing to move to where the fiber already exists. If not currently willing to relocate, then need to wait till 2026 when the current 2nd phase 5 year (2021-end 2025) 15 million residential fiber buildout is completed.Feb 24, 2023 · Equipment. I did find out that I could get a business line by signing up to pay $30k (split over monthly payments) for 2 years of gigabit fiber. This would just get the fiber to the front of our house. It requires laying all new fiber optic cable in the ground and on rare occasions on utility poles. One foot of fiber at time, just think how many miles of streets are in your city or just your neighborhood.
